iBLOG: Blog Culture vs. Old Media is my video documentary highlighting the ways the internet has changed old media. Ever since its’ emergence, journalists along with rest of the world underestimated the impact of what the recent blog culture can entail. Today this culture is growing fervently and creating a diversification of information being distributed worldwide. Bloggers are the new journalists, radio hosts and television broadcasters who are giving the “civilian” input on information that once has been solely conveyed through corporate gatekeepers. In my video documentary, we look back at McLuhan theory of “the medium is the message” and analyse how his statement applies for this new emergent culture.
